Ok, so I know to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ, but this verse John 5:28-29 suggests a type of purgatory?
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Daniel 12:2 seems to say the same thing.
Now, i do not believe this, as the thief on the cross was with our Lord that very night, and other scriptures. Just curious as to what this means.....
